Love/Rain, a monumental collection of six new songs from singer/songwriter Josi Davis is scheduled for release on March 9.  A one-time event celebrating the release will be held that same evening in the Oasis Room at New London, CT's Garde Arts Center.

As we expect no less from dynamic storyteller and riveting performer Josi Davis, Love/Rain bears all in a journey of perseverance, the gambles of wearing your heart on your sleeve and the rich rewards that come with waiting out the storm.

The one-night performance and celebration will include a live performance of Love/Rain (EP), a preview of unreleased new material, new arrangements of songs from Davis' debut album The Evolution of Love, and a few surprises.  Josi Davis is joined by jazz veterans Adrian Delgado, Bill Holloman, James Lessard, Richard L. Pape and Randy Plude.

Tickets are limited, available at, and at these fine area retailers:

Cafe Sol - Niantic, CT

The Chocolate Shell - Old Lyme, CT

Love/Rain was written and produced in collaboration with producer, arranger and composer Louis Anthony deLise, whose credits include a Billboard #1 with Patti LaBelle, and hits with William DeVaughn and cult dance club favorite, John Gibbs.  Love/Rain's polished and cinematic recordings also feature the mighty talents of Philadelphia session veterans Allan Slutsky and Andy Lalasis, percussionist Pablo Batista (Alicia Keys) and the smooth voicings of saxophonist Carl Cox (Maysa).

"Josi Davis' voice can exhibit Joni Mitchell's smoky fragility, Phoebe Snow's full bodied barroom belt, and Ann Wilson's rock-and-roll wail. Occasionally, they come out all at once..." - Grace Magazine

"...a powerful and distinctive vocalist and a songwriter whose appreciation for all manners of musical styles is evident in her work. Some call Davis a practitioner of "nouveau cabaret," and that certainly provides a sonic indicator."Rick Koster, The Day
